FAQ

At the heart of my work is the therapeutic relationship. I believe that trust, safety and connection form the foundation for meaningful growth—and I prioritize building that relationship from the very first session. As that foundation is established, I bring in strategic, evidence-based interventions to support your goals in a way that’s purposeful and effective.

You can expect a space that is supportive, respectful, and emotionally safe—while also being a place where you’ll be gently challenged to think critically, break old patterns, and take meaningful steps forward. Our work is always infused with hope, clarity, and a deep belief in your capacity for change.

My approach is both collaborative and individualized. I’ll meet you where you are emotionally, while also guiding our work with intention and direction. Sessions are structured but flexible—grounded in a plan, yet responsive to what’s most pressing for you now. The first couple of sessions will focus on gathering history and establishing therapeutic goals.

I encourage clients to come to sessions with an agenda: reflect on anything significant that happened during the past week (positive or difficult), identify problems or situations where you’d like support, share how your mood has been, and check in on any action steps or insights from our previous session. This rhythm helps keep our work focused and helps you get the most out of therapy.

The first step is to schedule a free 15-minute consultation call. This gives us a chance to briefly connect, talk about what you’re looking for, and determine if we’re a good fit to work together. If you decide to move forward, we’ll discuss scheduling options and review how to use out-of-network benefits, if that’s something you’d like to explore.

Before your first session, you’ll complete some brief intake and informed consent documents along with payment setup to help us start with clarity and shared understanding.

In the beginning of our work together, I typically recommend meeting weekly. This consistent rhythm helps us build a strong therapeutic relationship, establish a sense of safety and trust, and start addressing the concerns that brought you to therapy. Weekly sessions also allow us to develop a clear and personalized treatment plan that supports steady progress and emotional stability.

As we move forward and you begin to feel more grounded and confident in applying what you’re learning, we may decide together to transition to bi-weekly or less frequent sessions. This decision is always collaborative and based on your needs, goals, and comfort level.

Whether you’re just starting or moving into a maintenance phase, my goal is to ensure that you continue feeling supported, equipped, and empowered every step of the way.

Between stimulus and response there is a space. In that space is our power to choose our response. In our response lies our growth and our freedom.
